Cafe Angelica was recommended to us by a shopkeeper in Solvang during a recent trip wine tasting in the area. We were delighted to discover what we think is, the top Solvang restaurant.
Locally owned and operated by Sean and Danielle McCoy, this charming eatery is located in the heart of downtown Solvang.
After learning about Cafe Angelica, check out other fun things to do in the Santa Barbara area:
This quaint, romantic restaurant offers bistro style dining with indoor or outdoor seating. The food is California cuisine with an Italian influence.
We began by sharing a Spinach Salad Angelica. This was a delightful mixture that included crisp apples, red grapes, scallions, walnuts, and crumbled feta cheese with a raspberry vinaigrette. Sitting outside on the covered patio, we knew we had discovered a new restaurant to recommend.
Steve enjoyed the Stuffed Filet Mignon with bleu cheese and wild mushrooms. It was topped with a sherry and mascarpone cheese sauce. It was cooked just right with intense flavors.
I had Chicken Marsala. The mushroom and garlic wine sauce was delicious. For dessert we had Creme Brulee and both agreed it was the best we have had anywhere. It was very smooth and creamy with a rich vanilla flavor.
