Go Wine Tasting Along the Central Coast

Ready to try Central Coast wine tasting? It's a great destination for a California wine tour. The fertile hills and valleys cooled by ocean breezes combine to make California’s Central Coast a prime grape growing region. Many fine wines are produced in this region making it a great destination for a California wine tour.

Wine regions along the coast include Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Livermore, San Benito, Salinas, and Alameda County. In addition to the many wineries, you can enjoy gorgeous, uncrowded beaches, sand dunes, small coastal towns, unique shops, a coastal amusement park, a world class aquarium, and hundreds of miles of spectacular scenery.

Cooking With Wine Recipes

"I cook with wine; sometimes I even add it to the food."

Best Stuffed Mushrooms

Learn how to make stuffed mushrooms with this easy stuffed mushrooms recipe. Yummy! Stuffed mushrooms is a fantastic appetizer for a party or dinner.

Wine Pairing:Pinot Noir is always a good wine choice to go with mushrooms. Drink the same wine that you use in preparing the stuffed mushrooms to serve with the dish. One of my favorite Pinot Noirs is Eyrie Pinot Noir Estate from the Williamette Valley of Oregon. This is an elegant Pinot Noir with marvelous flavors of blackberry and spice that will only make the mushrooms taste even better.

Ingredients:
1 pound mushrooms
3 Tablespoons melted butter
8 Tablespoons soft butter
2 cloves of minced garlic
6 Tablespoons of shredded Jack cheese
4 Tablespoons of Pinot Noir
2 teaspoons soy sauce
2/3 cup finely crushed cracker crumbs

Instructions:
1. Remove stems from mushrooms.
2. Brush mushrooms with melted butter.
3. Mix together the soft butter, garlic, and cheese.
4. Add wine, soy sauce, and cracker crumbs and blend to make a paste.
5. Fill mushrooms with this mixture.
6. Set in a baking pan and broil for about 3 minutes until hot and bubbly.
