Chicken Breast Marinade

This chicken breast marinade is delicious. Use this marinade for grilled or baked chicken. It's a good idea to have some of this marinade on hand. It's great on both chicken and pork chops.



Wine Pairing: Merlot would be a great wine for this marinade. Merlot is a smooth, dry red wine that goes well with chicken dishes. Ingredients for this Marinade:
2 cups dry red wine
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 green onions, sliced
3 cloves minced garlic
2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon grated ginger

Instruction for this Marinade:
1. Add all of the ingredients to a medium saucepan over medium heat.
2. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Pour sauce over chicken breast for a few hours. Cook chicken as desired. Baste the breasts with the sauce during the cooking.


Chocolate Chip Pound Cake



Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Pound Cake:
1 box Duncan Hines Butter
Golden Cake Mix
1 cup oil
1/4 cup water
4 eggs
1 8 ounce container sour cream
1 large box Jello instant chocolate pudding mix
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 6 ounce package chocolate chips


Instructions for Pound Cake:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a bundt pan.
2. Use a large bowl to mix together everything except the chocolate chips.
3. Stir in the chocolate chips.
4. Bake until done; approximately 1 hour.
5. Cover with chocolate glaze.



Ingredients for Chocolate Glaze:
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions for Chocolate Glaze:
1. Combine chocolate chips, butter, and corn syrup in the top of a double boiler. Heat until chips have melted.
2. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour over cake.
