At this time there are two wineries with tasting rooms in South Lake Tahoe and a single winery in Truckee. All are worth a visit!

Picchetti Winery

This is Picchetti Winery's second tasting room. Their winery and original tasting room is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Lake Tahoe is fortunate that they decided to open a second tasting room in South Lake Tahoe. Their outstanding wines include Zinfandel, Rose, Malbec, Sangiovese, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, and a dessert wine called Angelica. The tasting room is located on the main street in South Lake Tahoe (Hwy. 50). It's easy to find at the corner of San Jose and Hwy. 50. Park in the large parking lot behind the tasting room.





Red Poets Skyhawk Lane

This Lake Tahoe winery was established in 2000. It's a family owned winery based in Paso Robles. The tasting room is located just off the main street in South Lake Tahoe (Hwy. 50) in the Heavenly Village shopping center (not far from the Heavenly Gondola).
Award-winning wines include Zinfandel, Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Albarino, and a variety of fabulous blends.

This small Lake Tahoe winery produces a variety of quality wines; including Zinfandel and Pinot Noir.

If you play bocce ball or want to learn, this is the place to come. Take lesson, join a league, or play at a "Glow Ball" on full moons during the summer. For your convenience many local Tahoe restaurants feature their wines. Check out wine lists around Lake Tahoe for their wines.

Tahoe Ridge is a 30 minute drive from South Lake Tahoe. It's located in Minden, a quiet little town in the middle of the beautiful Carson Valley.

Taste wine, enjoy a meal in the bistro, and browse the charming gift shop. There are lots of great wines to sample as well as delicious olive oils and vinegars. We went home with wine, olive oils, vinegars, and wine accessories. We visited in the fall and the colorful fall foliage put on a spectacular show!

Take a scenic hour drive south to visit El Dorado County Wineries. Located off Of Hwy. 50 you'll find more than 40 award-winning wineries located near Placerville and the town of Fair Play.
