This Oakdale train is the third oldest railroad in North America. It's more than 100 years old and has been a dinner train since the 1970s.








Known as the "movie train", this train has been featured in more than 300 movies, television shows, and commercials. Petticoat Junction, Bonanza, The Wild Wild West, The A Team, and Back to the Future all filmed here.

The Oscar winning classic, High Noon, starring Grace Kelly and Gary Cooper was filmed at the Sierra Dinner Train back in 1951. More recently, the Alfac duck filmed a commercial using this site.

Directions from the north or south
Take Interstate I-5 or Hwy. 99 to Manteca. Go east on CA 120. Continue straight on Yosemite Avenue as you enter Oakdale. Turn left onto G Street. Take the first right onto S. Sierra Avenue. The train depot will be on the right side of the street.

Directions from the San Francisco Bay Area
Take 580 east toward Tracy. 580 will become 205. Exit to the right onto CA 120. Travel east on CA 120 into downtown Oakdale. Turn left onto G Street. Take the first right onto S. Sierra Avenue. The train depot will be on the right side of the street.
