Wild Flour Bakery is an artisanal bakery located in the Sonoma Wine County near Sebastopol. They use a brick oven to bake the most amazing sourdough breads, scones, and biscotti. Customers flock here from miles around just to sample their products.
They make up to 900 loaves of bread each day. They are all sold right there in the bakery. They do not ship their breads. Visitors will find 10-12 different kinds of bread each day.
They are creative and inventive with their ingredients and even offer a few gluten free choices. Taste the samples.
They often sell out of their most popular products by noon each day. I'd recommend coming between 10:30 and 11:00 for the best selection. If you arrive too early, not all of the products will be ready to sell. A variety of teas and coffees are sold as well.
Stroll around to the back area to explore the edible garden. They do not take credit or debit cards, so bring cash. The line to purchase bread might be long. However, the staff is friendly and the line moves fast. Regulars return because they know it's worth the wait!
Walk next door and browse the unique things for sale at Enduring Comforts. You'll find lots of hats, scarves, candles, and a large variety of gift items. There's always something you won't be able to resist.
