Grass Valley RestaurantKane's Fine Food RestaurantWe stopped in at this Grass Valley Restaurant while on a wine tour in Nevada County. Kane's Fine Food Restaurant is a new restaurant that was recommended to us by a hostess at one of the local winery’s tasting rooms. The restaurant is conveniently located in downtown Grass Valley and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Since it was a cool spring day, we decided to dine indoors, rather than outside on the attractive patio. We were seated in a spacious booth near the blazing fireplace. The atmosphere was casual but elegant at the same time. 
Steve ordered a roasted lamb sandwich served with mint sauce and fresh fruit. The lamb was tasty and the fruit nice and fresh. I ordered the charred spinach salad with bay shrimp ($10). The combination of slivered almonds, fresh strawberries, tomatoes, slices of hard boiled egg, and crisp bacon was delicious. Their special citrus vinagarette dressing was the perfect complement to the ingredients in the salad.The service was excellent. Our friendly waitress refilled our drinks often and the food came promptly. The next time we are in Nevada County on a wine tour, we plan to dine at this Kane's Fine Food Restaurant again and check out their dinner. . .which we have heard is also wonderful.
