Honor Mansion ~ For a Romantic Getaway
There are five rooms in the main house and 4 suites located close by. We knew we should have stayed much long to enjoy everything there is to do at Honor Mansion. Choices include a swimming pool, poolside massage, croquet, tennis, basketball, putting green, and bocce courts. 
After settling in to our room, we ventured into the dining room where we discovered a variety of colorful and tasty appetizers served buffet style along with fine wine and other beverages. We filled our plates and sat down outside at a bistro table on the patio. As we enjoyed the gourmet treats, we watched the fish in the koi pond and listened to the sounds of a waterfall cascading into the pond. 
Cathi and Steve, the owners, are great hosts. When we made the reservations, they asked if we were interested in dining out for dinner. They made reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant called Zin and presented us with directions when we checked in. 
After returning from dinner, we sat in the living room by the fire and sipped a glass of sherry and ate some wonderful cookies left by Cathi. The bedroom was lovely. Everything was extremely comfortable and there was a selection of nice CDs for background music in our room. In the morning Steve treated himself to mocha while I enjoyed a hot chocolate on the balcony overlooking the swimming pool and grounds. Breakfast was served inside next to a fireplace. It was a gourmet treat starting with a berry cobbler. The main course was their signature dish, Eggs Benedict. This dish was created by Cathi for Steve, who (like me) does not like poached or runny eggs. It was delicious and the fresh squeezed orange juice was a treat as well. Contact Information:

Honor Mansion really was perfect Sonoma bed and breakfast. We can’t think of a single thing to criticize about it. We loved the uncrowded gorgeous setting, friendly staff, fine wine, and fantastic food. This wine country bed and breakfast inn is rated 4 diamonds by the Automobile Association of America. (We’re wondering why it isn’t rated 5 diamonds.) This is a place that we can highly recommend for a romantic getaway. It is our top choice for Sonoma lodging.
