How to Make BBQ Sauce
The Best Homemade Barbeque Sauce
My aunt taught me how to make bbq sauce with this recipe. Over the years this has remained our favorite homemade barbeque sauce.
We love the tangy flavors of this Hawaiian style sauce on chicken or pork. It is delicious and often used as a buffalo wing sauce recipe as well!
Wine Pairing: Use a Riesling in this sauce and to drink while eating. The sweetness of the this wine will enhance the flavor of the sauce. Consider Chateau Saint Michelle Eroica Riesling 2007
This is a slightly sweet, well balanced Riesling from Columbia Valley, Washington. This wine is consistently good.
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup of either pineapple or orange juice
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup Riesling
Instructions:
1. Stir all of the ingredients (except wine) into a saucepan. Heat just long enough to dissolve the sugar.
2. Remove from heat. Add wine. Mix well.
3. Pour over chicken or pork chops to marinate for several hours. Grill or bake as desired.
