Best Mimosa Recipe
Cheers2Wine is pleased to share this mimosa recipe. This recipe for mimosa creates a delicous beverage. This mimosa champagne drink is perfect for hot summer evenings or a festive brunch.
Wine Pairing: A sweet sparkling wine is the perfect choice for this mimosa champagne drink. We'd suggest an Asti Spumante such as Ballatore Asti Spumante, which is an inexpensive wine that is readily available.
Ingredients:
1 orange, zested
1 cup half-and-half
1 cup superfine sugar
2 1/2 cups of orange juice
1 bottle Sparkling Wine
Instructions:
1. Blend all of the ingredients together in a blender for 30 seconds.
2. Pour into a shallow pan and freeze overnight.
3. Remove the frozen mixture and let it thaw for 10 minutes at room temperature.
4. Spoon orange mixture into champagne flutes. Fill with Sparkling Wine.
5. Garnish with fresh fruit if desired.
