We recently called and made reservations for a window seat. They reserve only half the tables and save the other half for walk-ins. However, if you want a table along the window for the best views, it’s always best to call for reservations.George’s at the Cove actually has two restaurants and a bar. We prefer the Ocean Terrace Bistro so we can be outside enjoying the ocean breezes, sunshine, and wonderful views. The Bistro is casual whereas their Fine Dining Restaurant is more elegant. 
I ordered the fresh Idaho trout, which was very tender and served with wild rice and rock shrimp with lemon vinaigrette. The wild rice had a great texture and taste. Steve enjoyed his Thai inspired fish stew with calamari, clams, mussels, and fish in a curry and coconut milk broth served with jasmine rice. We watched the sun slowly sink into the Pacific Ocean as we ate. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful day of wine tasting in San Diego.
