White Wine Sauce Recipe

You'll love this white wine sauce recipe. This classic wine sauce is versatile. You can serve it over chicken, pasta, fish, broccoli, eggs, or whatever you can think of.
Wine Pairing: Drink the same Chardonnay that you use to prepare this white wine sauce. We'd suggest an old favorite of ours, Bernardus Chardonnay
We love the flavors of lemon and pear and the long creamy finish. This Monterey Chardonnay is a rich treat that will pair quite well with this dish.

Ingredients for wine sauce:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup white wine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

Instructions for sauce:
1. Combine the cream, wine, flour, salt, garlic, pepper and parsley in a medium saucepan. Stir all together and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce heat to low and simmer until thickened. Enjoy this sauce over your favorite dishes.

(This recipe also works in the microwave. Just heat until it reaches desired thickness. Stirring every minute or so.)

Options: Use your imagination with this versatile sauce. I often add fresh shivered parmesan cheese and/or sauted mushrooms to the sauce as well.
