Madera Wineries

Known as the Madera Wine Trail, there are currently ten Madera wineries with tasting rooms in this wine region. Most are small family owned wineries. The friendly, uncrowded tasting rooms welcome you to come learn about their wines.

This area near Fresno has long been known for producing premium dessert wines. The production of other varietals is on the rise. Plan a Madera Wine Tour and discover some of the other wonderful wines including Riesling, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Viognier, and Alicante Bouchet.

This small Madera winery is owned by the brother and sister team of John and Michelle Lasgoity. They produce Zin Rose, Syrah, Merlot, and Blanc Duval. These award winning wines are reasonably priced and available for tasting at the winery.

Established in 1946, this family winery specializes in producing premium Port. Ports include Vintage Port, Tawny Port, White Port, and Old Vine Tinta Port. They also produce a variety of table wines.

Idle Hour Winery is a member of the Madera Wine Trail. The winery and tasting room is actually in Oakhurst at the Queens Inn. They specialize in producing a variety of handcrafted wines.

Mariposa Wine Company produces 3 categories of wines. Their Cru wines are premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay was grapes grown in Monterey County. Carmichael focuses on Mediterranean style blends. Yosemite View wines are produced from winegrapes from the Sierra foothills.

Quady Winery specializes in dessert wines for which they are well known. Quady Dessert Wines are delicious wines to sip alone or along with a dessert.

Westbrook is located in the Sierra Nevada near the town of Oakhurst and the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park. Wines produced include Riesling, Rosato, Vionier, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a Bordeaux style blend called "Fait Accompli".
