This friendly winery produces Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Port, Sauvignon Blanc, and Zinfandel. Castello di Amorosa Address: 4045 N. St. Helena Hwy., Calistoga, CA 94515 Telephone: (707) 967-6272 Open daily. Experience wine tasting in this unique Tuscan castle. Reservations are required for castle tours. The castle boasts 107 rooms including towers, couryard, stables, a church, wine aging cellars, and a dungeon and torture chamber. No reservation needed for wine tasting.

This Calistoga winery was one of the U.S. wineries to upset the French wine world during the Paris Tasting of 1976 by winning first place for a white wine. This was a turning point for world recognition for California wines. Stroll the beautiful wooded grounds of Chateau Montelena.

Stroll the grounds and enjoy the sculptures, sample fine wines in the tasting room, and picnic amidst the beauty of this winery. Clos Pegase has 20,000 square feet of caves including a Cave Theater, where events are often held. Tours are free and there’s no need for a reservation unless you are a large group.

Enjoy a picnic on their grounds. Dutch Henry Winery Address: 4310 Silverado Trail, Calistoga, CA 94515 Telephone: (707) 942-5771 or (800) 224-5879Open daily 10 AM – 5 PM Dutch Henry was established in 1992. It is a small California winery that specializes in small lots of premium wines. Their signature wine is their Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Chafen Vineyards. They also produce Syrah, a Bordeaux blend called Argos, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay. Leashed dogs are welcome. It’s best to give them a call to make reservations. They also offer handcrafted candles for sale. Reverie on Diamond MountainAddress: 1520 Diamond Mountain Rd., Calistoga, CA 94515 Telephone: (800) 738-3743 or (707) 942-6800 Open by appointment only. This Calistoga winery is known for its Cabernet Sauvignon. They also produce other great wines including Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, and Roussane. This is a favorite stop for Napa Valley wine tasting. It's a scenic drive back to this winery on Diamond Mountain Road. There are picnic facilities as well. Schramsberg Vineyards & Cellars Address: 1400 Schramsberg Rd., Calistoga, CA 94515 Telephone: (707) 942-2414 Open daily 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM with a booked tour This Calistoga winery is open daily for tasting but you must call for an appointment. The last time we checked the tasting fee was $25 and included a tour. They do have high quality award winning wines for you to sample. 
Silver Rose Resort WineryAddress: 400 Silverado Trail, Calistoga, CA 94515 Telephone: (707) 942-1440 Open daily 10 AM – 5 PM Established in 2000 Silver Rose is a winery resort offering luxurious wine country accommodations and a full service spa in addition to Napa wine tasting. Plan to sample their wines at 11 A.M. when there is a daily barrel tasting. A winery restaurant will be opening soon. This is a beautifully landscaped Calistoga winery.

Our favorite was the 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon, which won a Silver medal at the SF Chronicle Wine Competition in 2006. 
Twomey CellarsAddress: 1183 Dunaweal Lane, Calistoga, CA 94515 Telephone: (707) 942-2700 or (800) 505-4850Open Mon. – Sat. 9 AM – 4 PM This Calistoga winery specializes in making premium Merlot using classic traditional techniques that are very labor intensive. They also have a very limited production of Pinot Noir. The family that owns Silver Oak Winery in Oakville also owns Twomey Cellars. They definitely know how to make wine. Their Merlot is unlike any other Merlot we have tasted. It has a dark ruby color with flavors of cherry and chocolate. It's velvety silkiness is delightful. The wine is complex, but very smooth.

Arroyo’s signature wine is their Petite Sirah, which often sells out. They also produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sangiovese, Zinfandel, and some red blends as well.
