A Great Restaurant Paso Robles Wine CountryMcPhees GrillWe heard about McPhees from a number of employees working in the nearby wine tasting rooms of Paso Robles wineries, as well as local residents we met while tasting wine. McPhees has a large front room and then another room in the back. We sat at a spacious booth. The atmosphere was casual and pleasant.
The waitress greeted us quickly and served us a basket full of bread and a dish of Kalalmala olives and garlic. The olives were delicious. When we complemented the waitress on the olives, she quickly returned with another dish of them. Steve’s duck tostado was beautifully presented. It consisted of lettuce, guacamole, peaches, onion, avocado, black beans and shredded duck piled high. It was topped with tortilla strips in red, black, and white. I had beef stroganoff with mashed potatoes. The sauce on the stroganoff was especially yummy. (Steve agreed and was only too eager to help me finish.) The restaurant had a sizable wine list. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely return to this great restaurant in the Paso Robles Wine County. Contact Information: McPhees Grill Address: 416 S.
